MMA icon and UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz hints at helping YouTuber-turned-professional-boxer Logan Paul get into MMA.

After a decision loss to KSI in his pro boxing debut, internet sensation Paul now has his eyes locked on MMA. During a red carpet event on Thursday evening ahead of the "One Night" documentary highlighting the June 1 fight between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua, Paul was spotted by reporters talking to former UFC light heavyweight champion Ortiz.

The 24-year-old seemed like he didn’t want to disclose any details from the conversation. However, Paul later revealed that the brief talk between him and Ortiz entailed whether he'd be interested in pursuing an MMA career. Paul also admitted that he sees a brighter future for him in MMA than boxing, DAZN reported.

"We were talking about MMA honestly," Paul said.

"Boxing is cool, but I feel like my future is in MMA," Paul added.

Moments after Paul walked away, Little Giant Boxing was able to speak with Ortiz. The former UFC champ openly expressed his interest in Paul’s talent and pursuit of MMA career.

“When a young guy like that who happened just to have a bright mind and strong and wanna work hard, it’s good to see,” Ortiz said about Paul.

When asked about who the perfect opponent for Paul is in his possible MMA debut, Ortiz admitted that he would have “look at who the 205-pounders” are at that point. More importantly, Ortiz would like to see how good Paul’s MMA skills really are before jumping into match-making.

“You wanna make sure you build guys the right way. When they’re young, they gotta built the right way, they gotta do the right things so I couldn’t give an opponent. I wanna make sure how good he was in MMA in general,” Ortiz explained.

Ahead of his boxing debut against KSI, Paul already stated that he wants to do MMA next. And to everybody’s surprise, the internet sensation swore that he will fight UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

“Conor McGregor? Me! I swear to God. I’ll fight Conor,” Paul answered when asked who should McGregor fight next.

Paul’s move to MMA wouldn't be totally out of the norm as he was a former amateur high school wrestler in the state of Ohio. And while Paul appears to be one of the most hyped up-and-coming fighters today, it could only be a matter of time before he makes his MMA debut.
