  • Data Miners have leaked an image of a spaceship that will likely be crashing soon in "Fortnite"
  • With most of Chapter 2 Season 3 of "Fortnite" aquatic in nature, this crashed ship may lead to another change in the status quo
  • The next set of interstellar challenges coming to “Fortnite” look decidedly different from what’s come before, which means they could even tie into an upcoming season rather than just fitting into the current one

A new update for “Fortnite” has led data miners to a crashed spaceship that will likely be landing soon in the game.

Though most of the current “Fortnite” season has been aquatic in nature after what happened at the end of Season 2, a whole new set of challenges may be in store for players of the game if this is any indication, ScreenRant warns.

Chapter 2 Season 3 of “Fortnite” has also heavily featured Aquaman, with items based on the DC character making their way into the game. A recent update even added Aquaman’s nemesis, Black Manta.

Most challenges have been based around sharks and skins with diving themes once most of the world was flooded.

Still, data miners may have found evidence of a new location that would be quite different from the water theme that the current ’Fortnite” season has been mired in.

“Fortnite” leaker FortTory shared images on Twitter of a crashed spaceship that’s said to be coming to the game, which shows the ship as well as its pilot.

Fellow leaker Hypex posted an image of what appears to be the same spacesuit that the pilot is wearing on the outfit select screen.

When the ship crashes, it looks like it will land on a small island that doesn’t currently exist on the map, meaning that water levels will have to fall again before the ship arrives, as they’ve been doing throughout the season.

Aside from the new location and outfit, the leaks have revealed new challenges that the game will show. FortTory posted a list of challenge names based on the spacecraft, which seems to indicate that players will have to go through a questline of repairing the ship and starting its launch sequence before having to stop it from taking off.

Due to the flooded map that has pervaded “Fortnite” for Chapter 2 Season 3, players have been forced to change strategies while also giving them locations to explore.

The next set of interstellar challenges coming to “Fortnite” look decidedly different from what’s come before, which means they could even tie into an upcoming season rather than just fitting into the current one, ScreenRant guesses.
