Freddie Roach just revealed his plan for Manny Pacquiao’s next fight.

A Pacquiao sweepstakes is what appears to be happening currently in the welterweight division. After being a lasting world champion, Pacquiao is now consistently chased by a lot of younger fighters. After all the call-outs, his long-time trainer Roach has trimmed down the list of Pacquiao’s next possible opponents.

In a media scrum with Fight Hub TV, Roach answered several questions pertaining to Pacquiao’s next fight. According to Roach, Team Pacquiao is still open for a Mayweather rematch but also likes the idea of fighting Mikey Garcia.

But what Roach clearly stated was that he and Pacquiao would want to take on the winner of the talked-about welterweight showdown between Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford.

“(Errol) Spence has a big fight coming out, and maybe (Terrence) Crawford and Spence could fight each other and we could fight the winner,” Roach said.

A few days ago, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum already addressed that the Spence vs. Crawford fight is likely to happen soon. According to Arum, the said fight is highly possible if Spence would manage to get pass his upcoming opponent Shawn Porter.

Arum is also positive that both Spence and Crawford like to meet each other inside the boxing ring.

“Yes, I really believe that. I really believe that Spence wants that fight. And that Crawford wants that fight,” Arum told World Boxing News.

The 87-year-old promoter eyes to book the fight sooner than later. At this point, Arum expects it to materialize in 2020.

“I believe that we’ll be able to get it on in 2020. That’s a great, great fight,” Arum noted.

Spence on the other hand, has also expressed his desire to fight Pacquiao. According to his plan, after Porter, his eyes will be locked on the Filipino legend.

"I'm looking for the Manny Pacquiao after this. I definitely want the Manny Pacquiao fight. He's a Hall of Famer, he's a legend, he fought the best fighters of my era and the past era. You definitely don't know when Manny Pacquiao could retire so I want that," Spence stated.

However, Pacquiao is reportedly in talks for a fight against Garcia. According to Peter Garcia of Team Garcia, the date will soon be revealed and the Pacquiao vs. Garcia fight is already under negotiations.

“My grandpa said, ‘He’s going to get a date soon. He doesn’t come on Tuesdays when he doesn’t have a fight coming up.’ It’s still in negotiations,” Peter Garcia revealed.
