Curious about plant-based meat? Beyond Meat (BYND) is giving consumers the opportunity to try it for free.

Starting on May 28, Beyond Meat will give 50,000 people the chance to try Beyond Burger two-packs for free through the Ibotta app. Every Friday from now until July 2, vegans or curious meat-eaters can get a coupon for the burgers through this link while supplies last.

The Beyond Burger packs are the newest meatless creation from Beyond Meat that were introduced nationwide just in time for the summer grilling season.

The burgers serve up 20g of protein per burger and are made to be meatier and juicer without cholesterol, the company said. They also have 35% less total saturated fat than 80/20 beef, fewer calories, and comparable B vitamins and minerals, Beyond Meat said.

First introduced in 2016, Beyond Meat overhauled the patties in 2019 into an “ even better version.” Now in 2021, the company has unveiled its “latest and greatest” Beyond Burger that it said, “goes (above and) beyond any other plant-based burger on earth. ”

The burgers are available in two-packs and four-packs. They will also be available at restaurants come June.

The plant-based market has taken off in the last year, with several restaurants adding meatless options to their menus from Beyond Meat as well as Impossible Foods.

Recently, McDonald’s said it was testing a McPlant Burger in partnership with Beyond Meat, while Burger King launched the Impossible Whopper in 2019 with Impossible Foods.

Taco Bell announced in April that it would begin offering plant-based meat on its menu from Beyond Meat with the Cravetarian Taco, and Pizza Hut now offers the Beyond Pan Pizza in tie-up with Beyond Meat, featuring plant-based Italian sausage.

Shares of Beyond Meat were trading at $107.49 as of 12.57 p.m. EDT on Friday, down 4 cents, or 0.04%.
