The plot of “Frozen 2” will be about Elsa (Voice by Idina Menzel) and Anna (Voice by Kristen Bell) going on a journey to find out the truth about the past and save Arendelle. The heroes will also meet a character from the past who knows about their parents.

One character that Elsa and Anna will meet in the enchanted forest is Lieutenant Mattias (Voice by Sterling K. Brown). In an interview with Good Morning America, Brown teased that his character worked under Elsa and Anna’s grandfather, so he knows stories about their parents that he can share.

The stories that Mattias tells Anna and Else will help them to learn about things like what their father was like when he was a young boy. The interaction will also help them understand who they are, where they come from, and what that means about them in present time.

Mattias has been trapped in the enchanted forest for 30 years, Entertainment Weekly reported. A clip from “Frozen 2” that was shown at the D23 event teased a scene of the character talking with Anna about the past.

The teasers of the film haven’t yet explained what the threat is and what challenges will force Anna and Elsa to go on a journey. The cast members aren’t allowed to share these details yet, but Olaf actor Josh Gad jokingly said that the White Walkers are coming to Arendelle, referring to the villains from the “Game of Thrones” TV series.

Elsa and Anna’s parents will be returning in the film, but they will not be returning like Mattias. The characters will be in flashback scenes, with Evan Rachel Wood as the voice of Queen Iduna.

In another interview with Good Morning America, Bell pointed out that things are changing in Arendelle in “Frozen 2.” The actress pointed out that there are changes in the color and the tone of the film, which represents a change in the season.
