Following the official unveiling of Sayu, a new "Genshin Impact" leak has surfaced online, suggesting the Chinese gaming studio might soon introduce a 6-star character in the hit gacha game.

The latest information about "Genshin Impact" was shared by Twitter user @Facio_Leaks. The tipster posted several images which, according to them, indicate that "some type of 6-star thing may come in the future."

The first image in the tweet appears like an item quality background in red, while the other image shows texts, such as "RWeaponName," "Cost," "ATK," "PropName1" and "PropName2," among others.

However, another Twitter user pointed out, "That's used just for Aloy kek it doesn't mean absolutely anything."

The user also shared a Reddit link that leads to one of the images shared on Twitter. On the subreddit r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks, the uploader claimed, "This red background for a 6* item has existed in the files for a very, very long time, suggesting that these newer items quality backgrounds may be intended for 6* items."

The Reddit user, however, clarified that "it does not mean new gacha-able characters or weapons of a new rarity necessarily, as regular items also have rarities (primogems are 5* items for example)."

Another user speculated the background "could be like the pri arm system from Honkai, basically an upgrade for 5-star weapons, they could use this to make old weapons/characters more viable in the current meta."

Fans of "Genshin Impact" remain unsure as to what exactly are the images for. Some of them are convinced the images are for a new item that would soon be introduced in the game and not for a new 6-star character.

However, with the number of 5-star characters released in the game, it would not be surprising if miHoYo introduces a 6-star character soon. Unfortunately, the images do not explicitly indicate they are for a 6-star character.

Fans will certainly know more if miHoYo is indeed planning to launch the rumored 6-star character through leaks in the coming days. But for now, they should temper their expectations and take this new leak with a grain of salt.
