“Glee” alum Chris Colfer recently announced that he will go on a 20-city tour for his “The Land of Stories” series starting next month.

Following the release of the sixth and final novel, titled “Worlds Collide,” Colfer told People, “I hope the book leaves readers with the same amount of closure and nostalgia as it does me. Because to me, it has the perfect ending.” He also shared an exclusive at the back cover of his final book with the publication.

“The Worlds Collide” book tour will kick off at Barnes & Noble Union Square in New York on July 11. It will wrap up on July 30 on the West Coast. “I’m just hoping to get through it without becoming a big, sobbing mess. The characters have been my imaginary best friends since childhood, and even though I’m confident book six is the best place to end the series, I’m going to miss having all those voices in my head,” he said.

Colfer released the first book from “The Land of Stories” in 2012. Since then, the series has made it to New York Times’ best-selling list. “The Land of Stories” has also dominated the young adult world in the United States. The stories follow the lives of twins Alex and Conner, who are transported to a world where magical characters live. In “Worlds Collide,” Alex and Conner are faced with their biggest challenge yet – there is no longer any separation between the human and fairy worlds.

The synopsis for the sixth book revealed that Morina, the Wicked Witch of the West comes up with sinister plans to make Alex and Conner’s lives miserable. At one point, Alex goes missing, and Conner and his friends would have to fight against the villains. Unfortunately, without Alex by his side, Conner doesn’t have any idea if he could win the war against Morina, Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts.

Meanwhile, Colfer was asked if it’s possible for “The Land of Stories” to be adapted for the big screen in the near future. “It would make a very expensive film,” he said. Other titles from “The Land of Stories” include “The Wishing Spell,” “The Enchantress Returns,” “A Grimm Warning,” “Beyond the Kingdoms” and “An Author's Odyssey.”
