South Korean actress Gong Hyo-jin and Korean-American singer Kevin Oh are all set to get married this October in New York.

The 42-year-old actress' management company SOOP shared a statement Tuesday, revealing that the couple, who confirmed their relationship in April, will be starting "a new chapter of their lives together."

The statement further disclosed that the couple will get married in a private ceremony in October this year, in the presence of their family and close friends.

"We ask for your generous understanding on not being able to share the detailed schedule and location," the statement continued, as reported by Soompi. "Please send lots of blessings and support to the couple's days ahead as they take a valuable first step forward in their lives."

The 31-year-old singer, on the other hand, addressed the same on his Instagram handle. Oh shared a photo of music notes composed by him, with the lyrics penned by the actress.

The carousel post also featured a note that was posted in English as well as Korean.

The singer began his note by admitting that it would be more "respectable" to write this message in Korean but considering his native language is English as he is born in New York, he'd like to write in the "most natural way possible."

Oh recalled that he met the actress two years ago and how she became his soulmate. "Our love was full—yes, daunting at times—but we proved to each other... that we need each other," he added. "In her, I've met my best friend for life, my soulmate."

He proudly mentioned that he will be able to call Hyo-jin "my wife" soon. The singer also confirmed that they are getting married in the fall.

"I know I'm stealing away an actress who's received a great deal of love in Korea, and perhaps it would be more fitting to hold the ceremony publicly here in Seoul," he added. "But for selfish reasons, I wanted to celebrate in the presence of my family. I hope you understand."

In the next slide, the singer mentioned how blessed he feels because of his fans, who always supported him and gave him "unforgettable moments."

"You who've carried me through some of my darkest hours with your love and support," he wrote. "You know what I write to you when signing your letters and CDs: "always love and be loved." You've taught me to have courage, to be a better man, to love more."

In conclusion, he disclosed that he has been working on some new music as well and hopes to share it soon with his fans.
