Google Maps 5.5 introduced for Android devices

The Google has released Google Maps 5.5 for Android-based devices to make it easy to attain information about a certain destination, a report said.

The new version has added ‘check in’ and ‘rate and review’ features to pages and has also modified the transit station pages.

The application will offer a more modified version to its transit station feature which was introduced two years ago in Google maps for Android devices. The new version will include the list of forthcoming schedules of departures for different transit lines and distance of the nearest station.

The application can be downloaded by users having an Android OS 1.6+ device.
