Gotham Penguin
Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor, pictured) will try to rescue his mother from a warehouse where Theo Galavan (James Frain) is keeping her in "Gotham" episode 7. FOX

Theo Galavan (James Frain) may think he runs Gotham City, but the self-proclaimed "King of Gotham," a.k.a. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), will look to take the power back on Season 2 of Fox's pre-Batman drama "Gotham." Not only will Penguin try to overpower Theo, but he will also try to save the most important woman in his life in episode 7, "Mommy's Little Monster."

The synopsis reveals Penguin will assemble his crew and Butch (Drew Powell) will lead them to where his mother is being held. However, Butch was beaten down by Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) in episode 6 in an attempt to change his loyalty to Penguin. Is Butch really helping Penguin or leading him into a trap?

Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) appeared to finally be in a relationship with Ms. Kringle (Chelsea Spack), but things went horribly wrong in episode 6. He revealed to Kringle that he killed her ex-boyfriend after he was mistreating her, which made her want to leave him. While trying to stop her from leaving he accidentally suffocated her. Nygma will now have to deal with the aftermath of what he did.

The promo video for episode 7 had a ton of gunfire and it could be one of the most intense episodes of Season 2. Tabitha wants to create more chaos in Gotham City, but Theo tells her she has to wait because he's about to become the mayor. Theo is shown to be at some sort of ceremony, which could possibly be his swearing in and could have him taking one of the most powerful positions in the city.

The GCPD will be going after Penguin, which could create an awkward situation for Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Penguin is the only reason he got his job back as a police officer, but will Gordon ultimately follow Capt. Barnes (Michael Chiklis) to take him down? Gordon might finally realize Theo's true intentions as well, after he's shown talking to Bullock (Donal Logue), saying, "everything that's gone down has been orchestrated."

At the end of episode 6, Bridgit Pike/Firefly (Michelle Veintimilla) had survived being burnt, but the suit had burned onto her making her skin fireproof. She was taken to Indian Hill labs, which is part of Wayne Enterprises and has other "monsters." Will more be revealed about what Indian Hill is in episode 7? Fans will have to tune in to find out!

"Gotham” Season 2, episode 7, "Mommy's Little Monster," will air on Fox Monday, Nov. 2, at 8 p.m. EST.
