It might still be a few months before Hallmarkies will get to watch their annual marathon of seasonal and holiday films, but that doesn’t mean the network isn’t planning out their entire slate in advance.

In a press release, Crown Media networks, which owns both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, announced that much like 2019, there would be 40 new films overall this holiday season on the channels—and the 24/7 marathon of holiday classic films will officially kick off on Oct. 23.

Prior to the Christmas films, fans will be able to enjoy the annual Fall Harvest event as well, featuring, for now, two new films and another special event.

The news is sure to be exciting for fans of all the events since production on all film and television sets was shut down due to COVID-19 earlier this year, and new restrictions to ensure safe filming practices were also put into place, which would potentially make things harder to film. It’s unclear which titles may have already filmed and not been affected, but regardless of their current status, Hallmark plans to get them on the schedule.
