The 2012 UNICEF Playlist with the A-list held at the El Rey Theatre, Los Angeles, on March 15, 2012, turned out to be a star-studded event.

Celebrities like Heidi Klum, Kristen Bell, Tom Hanks, Don Cheadle and actor Wayne Brady hit the red carpet in support of the UNICEF karaoke benefit event.

The outrageously fun, irreverently outlandish night of live celebrity musical performances that's got L.A. rocking for one night only! the UNICEF USA official Web site mentions.

Spartan actress Kristen Bell paired with Jack Black, Christian Slater, Rita Wilson, Kyle MacLachlan, James Denton and Lori Loughlin were all in attendance at the event. Bell and Cheadle paired up to perform a duet onstage, while Molly Sims also belted out a tune.

The event was organized to benefit the UNICEF Schools for Africa campaign. Launched on Dec. 6, 2004, in Cape Town, the campaign was the brainchild of German shipping magnate Peter Kramer, and since then it has continued to attract contributions totalling many millions of dollars from prominent corporate, state and individual donors.

Dressed in black leather trousers, sheer black top and a white blazer, supermodel Heidi Klum revved up the event as she reportedly performed a rousing rendition of the Village People's YMCA, and roped in her A-list friends to help out.

The Daily Mail reported that wearing an elaborate Native American headdress, the 38-year-old bounded around the room, belting out the eighties hit and encouraging people to join her.
