  • Alana Thompson celebrated Christmas with two of her sisters, Jessica Shannon and Lauryn Shannon-Efird
  • Mama June was not present in the photos shared by the siblings on social media
  • A number of fans wondered why the controversial matriarch was missing from the family celebration

Mama June Shannon was seemingly missing when her family celebrated Christmas together in Georgia.

On Sunday, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 16, took to Instagram to share a couple of black and white photos showing her and her family together on Christmas Day.

Aside from Alana, her sisters Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 25, and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon-Efird, 21, were also featured in the snaps. Lauryn’s husband Josh Efird, 25, and their kids, Ella Grace, 4, and Bentley Jameson, 5 months, were seen in the family photos as well. All of them wore the same gingerbread man-themed red shirts.

“Merry Christmas!” the former “Toddlers and Tiaras” star wrote in the caption.

A day before, Pumpkin shared the colored version of the snaps along with other pictures showcasing their Christmas Day activities. Some of the photos showed the kids having a blast unwrapping their presents.

“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Efirds,” Lauryn wrote, tagging everyone present in the snaps.

The posts from the reality TV stars caught the attention of their fans and followers, who sent the family some holiday greetings. However, some couldn’t help but ask where their 42-year-old mother was as Mama June was not seen in any of the photos.

“Where is Mama June?” one asked.

“Merry Christmas y’all, [but] where is Momma June?” another added.

A different user suggested that Mama June could be in “rehab,” but other followers quickly shut it down saying the controversial matriarch did not relapse.

Since the family did not address it, some fans insisted that Mama June’s absence from the photos shouldn’t be a big issue. One pointed out that one of the sisters, Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, 27, was also not present, but no one asked about her in the comments.

Fans might get some answers when their family’s reality show, “Mama June: From Not to Hot,” returns for Season 6. Last week, Mama June seemingly leaked the premiere date of the new installment via social media.

When Mama June posted a clip promoting a candle company on TikTok, fans flooded the comments section with questions asking about their TV series. Mama June did not shy away from answering the question at the time.

“Queen, when are you blessing my TV again?” one fan asked.

“March or April,” the reality star quickly replied.

We TV has yet to release an official statement announcing the renewal of “From Not to Hot.” However, Mama June assured fans even before Season 5 wrapped up in June that they “will be back” and they “were not going anywhere.”
