Fans of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” momager June Shannon may be disappointed to hear that TLC has put the kibosh on rumors that Shannon will be a contestant on an upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

According to the Huffington Post, the New York Daily News was the first publication to report the story, alleging that an ABC insider had said Shannon was in talks to become a possible contestant. But a TLC rep who spoke to the Huffington Post on Tuesday said that there was no truth behind the rumor.

Last week, Shannon made headlines when she declared that she had lost 115 pounds without dieting or exercise and had also made the decision to revamp her look by going blonde.

“No, I have not felt no pressure to change,” Mama June told the Huffington Post. “I was blonde about six years ago, and I wanted to go back to blonde, so I went back blonde, and I loved it. I have lost 115 pounds, but that's because I’m on the go. We love fried food, but I lost that weight, because I’m more active doing things.”

She also claimed that despite their newfound fame from their hit reality show, their family dynamic has remained very much the same.

“In five years, I see us still playing mud ball games, being a family and being there for one another. Wherever this amazing adventure leads us, we are ready for anything as long as we are a family,” Shannon said. “That's where I’m the most happy, because my kids mean the world to me. You know I would be lost without them. That's all that matters to me."

The Thompson family recently took a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., where they participated in a Mardi Gras celebration. On Saturday, Shannon updated Facebook fans, letting them know that the Thompson family had just left the celebration and thanking their tour guide.

“Just left the MardiGras celebration at Universal Studio in FL. Our tour guide Jesse was awesome we had a BLAST today!!! Thanks to all the other employees for their kindness & generosity as well! And it was great seeing some of our fans there hope y'all had as fun as we did!” Shannon wrote on the Facebook page for her daughter.
