Meghan Markle is not scheduled to meet President Donald Trump in the near future. The Duchess of Sussex is the only member of the royal fab four not meeting the President during the state visit, but she might not be upset about that. Meghan wasn’t a big fan of Trump when he was running against Hillary Clinton.

During an interview on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” in 2016, Meghan didn’t hold back on her feelings. Of course, this was before she knew she’d be joining the royal family, where it’s essentially forbidden to talk politics.

“Trump is divisive. Think about female voters alone, right?” Meghan said. “I think it was in 2012, the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points; that’s a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it...Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t really want that kind of world that he’s painting.”

It seems unlikely that Meghan’s liberal political views stopped her from meeting Trump. She isn’t scheduled because she is on maternity leave. The Duchess gave birth to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6.

Meghan’s husband, however, will get a chance to meet the President. According to Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English, the Queen will host a private lunch for the President and wife Melania Trump on Monday. Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is expected to attend.

That night, there will be a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace. Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expected to attend.

The Trumps will meet with plenty of other royals as well. Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, will go with them to Westminster Abbey. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, will join the President and First Lady for tea in between the events.
