Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., recently discussed the status of his relationship with the Duchess of Sussex and her son-in-law, Prince Harry.

During his interview, the former lighting director revealed that he hasn’t spoken to his daughter in months. Until today, he still hasn’t met his grandson, Archie.

Shortly after, “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan sided with Thomas and said that Markle shouldn’t have cut ties with her dad. After all, it was Thomas who sent her to school.

But a royal expert also criticized Thomas for not acting like a grownup and for failing to protect his beloved daughter. While speaking on “Good Morning Britain,” royal expert Angela Levin said that it’s very difficult to trust and forgive someone like Thomas.

“The minute you say anything - I’m pregnant, I feel sick or I’m so tired today - he’s going to report it to the news. He’s a grown-up, he should know not to do that for his daughter, where is his loyalty to his daughter? Most of us as parents look after our children and we protect them whatever age they are,” she said.

Levin went on to say that Thomas made a colossal mistake and it’s understandable why Markle is having a hard time to forgive her father. The royal expert also said that she could criticize Prince Harry’s wife, but at the end of the day, she still gets why the “Suits” alum felt the need to end his relationship with her dad.

During his interview with Daily Mail last weekend, Thomas also urged Prince Harry and Markle to send him a photo of Archie. The dad of three said that he wants to know if Archie got the signature Markle nose.

But supporters of Prince Harry and Markle hit out at Thomas by saying that it would be a mistake to send him a photo of his grandson. It is highly likely that he will just sell the photo to the press.
