Queen Elizabeth is being blamed for Meghan Markle’s decision to not talk to her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., for good.

Last year, Daily Mirror revealed that royal aides at Buckingham Palace were thinking of ways on how to silence the former lighting director. While Thomas was giving back to back interviews with the press, the palace conducted at least three top-level crisis meetings about him.

“Meghan is deeply hurt by what is happening and everything is being done behind the scenes to make sure her welfare is at the top of the agenda. It’s an increasingly desperate situation and now it’s come down to three options being on the table,” a source said.

“Firstly, Meghan could contact her father straight away and appeal to him directly to ask him to stop hurting her, but right now she’s decided to cut him off. There is a possibility a intermediary could meet with him and appeal to him to stop making such hurtful statements… The final option would be for Meghan to cut him off completely in the hope he will stop, but the situation is so precarious no one knows when that would be,” the source added.

And by the looks of it, Prince Harry’s wife finally chose the third option as suggested by the Queen through her aides. But months ago, the “Suits” alum also tried reaching out to her dad, but to no avail.

Markle wrote a letter to Thomas asking him to stop listening to everything that he reads in the newspapers. The Duchess of Sussex also told her dad that he’s hurting her terribly. But instead of apologizing, Thomas decided to make his daughter’s handwritten noted public.

And after months of staying silent, Thomas is back to giving interviews. He said that he thought the arrival of his grandson will improve his relationship with Markle, but it didn’t.

Thomas also encouraged his daughter and son-in-law to send him a photo of Archie soon.
