Prince William was recently accused of having bad behavior, which he seemingly pinned on his younger brother, Prince Harry.

In the documentary “William and Harry: Princes at War?” royal expert Simon Vigar claimed that the future King saw the Duke of Sussex as a useful tool.

“Harry has obviously got into some scrapes which have landed him on the front pages of the newspapers. But at plenty of those parties, particularly the teenage parties, William was there, Harry served as a really useful decoy,” he said.

Royal author Katie Nicholl also echoed Vigar’s sentiments. She said that when Prince William and Prince Harry were younger, the royal siblings had a falling out because the latter resented the fact that he had to take all of the blame for every wrong thing that they did together. But he understood that this was because his older brother was the heir.

“Harry took the flack and Harry was very cross about that. He refused to speak to his brother or forgive him for some time,” Nicholl said.

Jonathan Spangler, senior lecturer in history at the Manchester Metropolitan University, said that Prince Harry’s position as the spare became unbearable at one point.

“He was required to behave in a manner that was impeccably “princely” and yet if he looked too strong and too confident, he was seen as a threat. These unresolvable contradictions led several second sons into open rebellion against their older brothers and many ended their lives physically exhausted, their reputations in tatters,” he said.

But according to Express, the issue of being the heir and the spare no longer affects Prince Harry now as it once did before. Since Meghan Markle’s husband is currently sixth in line to the throne, he is no longer regarded as a spare. After all, he has no chance of becoming King.

At present, Prince Harry and Prince William are facing another challenge in their relationship. There are rumors that they once feuded about Markle.
