Kate Middleton will reportedly break tradition with her Mother’s Day celebration this year.

Ingrid Seward, a royal etiquette expert, told The Sun that Middleton will most likely spend the special day with her husband and three children. Even though her actual plans have not yet been set, Seward said that there are no specific traditions on Mother’s Day because there are already a lot of other dates royals need to deal with.

“I am sure Kate gets cards from Charlotte and George and possibly William might give her some flowers but I would be surprised if it were much more,” she said.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, told The Sun that five years ago on Mother’s Day, a photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with 8-month-old Prince George was released to the public, and it became such a huge hit.

As such, it is possible that the royal couple could release a special photo with their entire family on Mother’s Day this year. But Fitzwilliams said that royal fans just have to wait and see.

In related news, Middleton also made headlines today after she was photographed in her stunning green Missoni dress for an evening party in Belfast. The mom of three completed her look with her nude clutch and pumps. She also let her hair down in relaxed curls.

Middleton and Prince William traveled to Northern Ireland for their surprise two-day tour to honor the youth in the region. Their recent event was held at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall. The festivities featured a performance by the band LARKS, and guests included Northern Ireland’s business, arts, and sports sectors.
