Meghan Markle will be celebrating her birthday next month for the first time as an official royal.

The Duchess of Sussex is turning 37 on Aug. 4. There has been no official announcement from the palace yet as to how Prince Harry and Markle plan to celebrate her birthday. However, it's possible that the couple will once again go on a holiday trip together for her special day.

Last year, the couple flew to Africa to celebrate her 36th birthday. Prince Harry and Markle were seen wearing matching baseball caps with their arms around each other while at the airport tarmac. They were all smiles as they carried their bags. Markle was seen carrying a framed photo wrapped in a bubble wrap.

"Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time," a source said. "He's made the trip incredibly romantic. They'll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars."

The working royals may take a day off for their birthdays. In general, they will likely opt to spend the day privately.

Kate Middleton turned 36 years old in January, and the Duchess of Cambridge didn't have a grand celebration for the event. A source told E! News that Middleton was "celebrating privately with [Prince] William and the children." The insider added that it was "a quiet celebration at home" and there was "no big party."

On the other hand, Prince William celebrated his birthday in June away from his family as he had royal commitments on that day. The Duke of Cambridge joined the opening of the world-class rehab facility for Armed Forces personnel who have suffered major trauma or injury.

In related news, Markle's dad, Thomas Markle Sr., just turned 74 years old this month. On his birthday, he was seen buying a McDonald's Happy Meal and running errands at the Bank of America and UPS store in Los Angeles. He also reportedly visited some of his friends in the nearby apartment complex.

Thomas admitted earlier that he had not spoken to his daughter for the longest time. In fact, he fears that will die without talking to Markle again.

"I could actually die soon. Does she want this to be the last thing we've said to each other?" Thomas said. "It is probably the longest time I have gone without speaking to her ever. I just want to clear the air and tell her how proud I am of her."
