Meghan Markle's father is afraid that he will die without speaking to the Duchess of Sussex face to face.

Following Thomas Markle Sr.'s TV interview with "Good Morning Britain," he admitted that the royals, including his daughter, haven't reached out to him at all. Now, Thomas has confessed that he fears dying without ever speaking to the former "Suits" actress again.

"I could actually die soon. Does she want this to be the last thing we've said to each other?" Thomas said (via Daily Express). "It is probably the longest time I have gone without speaking to her ever. I just want to clear the air and tell her how proud I am of her."

During Thomas' interview with The Sun, he also shared his thoughts about Markle's feelings about joining the Firm, claiming Markle is "terrified."

"I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile," Thomas said. "I've seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don't like the one I'm seeing now. This one isn't even a stage smile – this is a pained smile."

As Markle's dad, Thomas is worried about the pressure put on her daughter. But he understands that this is the price to pay for being a royal.

"That might be just having a couple of bad days. I don't know. It really worries me. I think she's under too much pressure," Thomas continued. "There's a high price to pay to be married to that family."

Markle's father caused a stir when it was revealed that he agreed to staged his photos in the run-up of the royal wedding and even received cash for it. His second debacle was caused by his TV interview where he revealed how Prince Harry advised him to give Donald Trump a chance. He also revealed that Markle was desperate to have children, which didn't sit well with many.

"I can't imagine that Meghan is anything other than horrified that he has told the world that she is desperate for a baby and that they are trying to make a baby," royal commentator Angela Levin said. "I don't know if he would know about the second part but it is a really terrible thing to say. I don't know him but, I think he is perhaps somebody who puts himself first and his daughters needs second."
