The world seems to be in a mad rush to buy Nike's newest pair of sneakers - the Nike Foamposite Galaxy - released just before the 2012 NBA All-Star Games in Orlando, Fla. Riots broke out at a Foot Locker in Orlando as eager sneaker fans clamored for a pair of the $220 sneakers, complete with a purple and blue galactic sky and glow-in-the-dark capabilities.

Interior graphics pay homage to the phenomenon of the Supernova - arguably the most powerful force in the universe - while fonts and badging are featured within the collection as a nod to Orlando and space, Nike said in a press release about the three versions of the sneaker: the Nike Dunk, Nike Flight One and Nike Foamposite One.

The limited release of the sneakers, made especially for the 2012 All-Star Games, has caused pure chaos. The chaos and out-of-control crowds resulted in releases being held off, such as in Tampa, Fla.
