The Hunger Games is set to open in theaters nationwide on Friday, March 23, and the stars of the film -- including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks -- have been promoting the premiere of the film around the world. Of course Hunger Games fans are excited to see the big screen-adaptation of the first installment of the wildly successful trilogy. But, fashion fans are more excited for the style.

The Hunger Games red carpets have not been short on glitz and glam. Jennifer Lawrence wowed each night of the premiere in everything from Tom Ford to Marchesa to Prabal Gurung and more. For the L.A. premiere, her hair was styled in a braided bun interwoven with gold rhinestone-embellished headbands. Lawrence had her hair done by Dove celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend. Thank you @jenniferbehr for the gorgeous headbands I used in Jennifer Lawrence's hair for #thehungergames premiere! he tweeted. Click here to learn how to recreate the gorgeous look for just $4.49!

Co-star Elizabeth Banks sizzled in Elie Saab, Atelier Versace and Bill Blass. In following with themes from the series, Lawrence and Banks both amped up the color-wattage in bold hues of crimson, gold, canary yellow and tangerine.

Speaking of the series, who is not looking forward to seeing what fabulous fashion creations the Capitol has to offer in The Hunger Games movie? The Capitol's citizens are known for their opulence, lavishness and over-the-top looks. From gold tattoos on their faces to candy-colored hair, it will surely be a sight to see.

A serious amount of fashion and beauty preparation went into The Hunger Games. Even though Katniss Everdeen's character played by Jennifer Lawrence is by far the most modest character, her look took some fine tuning. In an interview with Bella Sugar, head hairstylist Linda Flowers said that it took $30,000 worth of wigs to get the hue for Katniss' braided hair just right.

Lenny Kravitz gave the Huffington Post the details behind the inspiration of his character Cinna's style; and it roots back to designer Tom Ford. I'd been thinking about Tom Ford and Yves Saint Laurent, guys who are clearly genius designers, and who make very colorful, beautiful clothing, but they're more pulled together, they're more classic and simple, said Kravitz. As opposed to being a John Galliano, say. It was a good contrast to Elizabeth [Banks]'s character and the other people in the Capitol. Wes [Bentley] has this beard and Stanley Tucci's over the top. And then Cinna's kind of a little more laidback. I thought it was a good choice.

Makeup artist Ve Neill told HollywoodLife.com that she used MAKE UP FOR EVER Metal Powder in #1 Sunflower Gold for Cinna's dazzling golden eyes. Neill also did the makeup for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Edward Scissorhands.

The style and aura of The Hunger Games has bled into mainstream culture with the launch of capsule collections aligned with the movie. China Glaze developed a line of nail polishes called Capitol Colours. Click here to see all the colors.
