Are they, or aren't they? Following the televised kiss between Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev at the People's Choice Awards earlier this month, rumors are now circulating that the longtime co-stars of "The Vampire Diaries" are secretly seeing each other -- again.

CelebDirtyLaundry.com reported Monday that Somerhalder, 35, and Dobrev, 25, are not "technically," officially an item, but that they are rumored to be "seeing each other" again, after breaking up last May. Despite the twosome publicly confirming their breakup just two weeks ago, the gossip site claims that the former on-screen turned off-screen couple are working to rekindle their relationship of three years.

"They’re both doing their best to keep it quiet," a source told the site, adding, "They’re not sure if they’re going to go back into full dating mode, especially since they’re still on good terms and don’t want to ruin their existing friendship."

According to the report, Dobrev is reportedly on the fence about dating her CW co-star of four years. "Nina’s not sure whether she’s willing to go through the public speculation and media attention that comes from being part of a beloved Hollywood couple, especially one that has so many fans," reads the report.

While some "Nian" and "Delena" fans may be disappointed to hear the actors want to keep their alleged relationship on the down-low, there is a chance that the duo might make their romance public knowledge in the future. According to CelebDirtyLaundry.com, the fate of the affair depends on the progress of their relationship and "how crazy the focus on them is" as the show continues into its fifth season.

Somerhalder and Dobrev last made headlines for their acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 8. The actors, who were recognized for "Best Chemistry" for their work on the supernatural TV series, caused a stir by addressing their former coupledom and subsequent split while accepting the award. Somerhalder finished off the comedic moment by giving Dobrev a swift kiss on the cheek.
