Leaving the crowd in utter disbelief, Lionel Messi dribbled past at least six players in one move during Argentina's friendly match against Uruguay in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Monday.

In the second half, on collecting the ball from the midfield, Messi somehow managed to keep the ball at his feet while he was swamped with defenders. He produced an unbelievable display of agility, presence of mind and more importantly, balance, as he twisted and turned from the Uruguayan players but ensured the ball was not lost.

When he first got the ball, he beat three players before falling to the ground but that did not stop him as he went past three more Uruguayan players.

Edinson Cavani opened the scoring at the 34th minute and Uruguay went into the half-time break with a 1-0 lead.

The soccer fans in the stands of the Tel Aviv stadium were biased toward Messi as they cheered for the Argentine skipper throughout. Messi, finally delivered, as his free-kick at the 63rd minute was headed by Sergio Aguero as an equalizer.

However, Messi's Barca teammate and good friend, Luis Suarez put Uruguay in the lead again when he netted a powerful 20-meter free-kick that beat Argentine goalkeeper Esteban Andrada into the top corner at the 69th minute.

Luckily for Argentina, who have been unbeaten since their poor Copa America in June, Messi scored the equalizer in the added injury time. After Messi missed from 12 yards against Brazil three days ago, the Barca superstar successfully converted the penalty Monday night to hand Argentina a well-deserving 2-2 draw.

While it was Messi's 69th international goal for Argentina, the Barca forward is still not in reach of his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo's record, who is just one away from a century of international goals.

The match in Israel was the final international appearance for Argentina and Uruguay before they begin their World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign in March.
