Apple is reportedly planning to release five new iPhone models next year, based on the most recent prediction made by TFI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In a research note of TF International Securities obtained by Macrumors, the reliable Apple tipster listed in detail his expectations for the iPhone SE 2 series arriving in 2020. It appears that five iPhone SE 2 models are arriving next year if the recent report of Ming-Chi Kuo is to be believed.

iPhone SE 2, with a 4.7-inch LCD display, will be reportedly released in the first half of 2020 and will be followed by a higher-end all-OLED series, claimed the report. These higher-end models include a 5.4-inch, a couple of 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch model, which will be released in the second half of 2020. All these higher-end models are anticipated to have 5G support and will house Qualcomm X55 modem.

Additionally, the research note details that these higher-end models will come with Sub 6G only or Sub 6G plus millimeter-wave types of 5G depending on the region or country. iPhone SE 2 models with millimeter-wave are anticipated to be available in the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the UK. Apple might disable the Sub 6g functionality in countries that has no 5G service yet or have a shallow 5G penetration rate to minimize production costs, notes Kuo.

The TFI analyst’s predictions align with the prediction of JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee. The iPhone SE 2 will resemble the Apple iPhone 8 in terms of design, says Chatterjee. It will have a 4.7-inch display with bezels and a Touch ID home button.

The upcoming compact handset will house a faster A13 chip and 3 GB of RAM, say JP Morgan analyst. The iPhone SE 2 will sport a single-lens camera just like the iPhone 8 and the original iPhone SE. This is the iPhone SE 2 line up as predicted by TFI Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
