One of the disturbing news that alarmed iPhone users is about the vulnerability of the handset to be listened to by Apple staffers through its microphone. Real-world conversations are private matters that no one else should have access to. Thankfully, a new iPhone feature will totally eliminate this vulnerability.

Many iPhone users were terrified upon learning that Apple was discovered sending audio snippets from Siri contractors in its effort to improve the features of the voice assistant. A report released by Guardian revealed that sensitive details were included in these audio snippets. It added that contractors regularly heard private convo, which is erroneously picked up by the Apple voice assistant.

The latest iPhone update now allows users to choose not to share any recorded audio data. Additionally, it gives users the chance to delete the entire Siri history. This latest iPhone feature is available in the iOS 13.2 developer beta. When upgrading to the latest software, you will be greeted by a message that asks you if you want to exclude audio sharing.

The latest iOS 13.2 developer beta update also allows iPhone users to change this particular setting at any time by accessing the Settings > Privacy > Analytics and Improvements. Users can opt to Deleter Siri & Dictation History to clear their devices of Siri history. Interestingly, the Cupertino-based tech giant has also momentarily put on hold using third-party contractors in analyzing audio recordings, which is anticipated to eventually stop permanently.

The latest Apple iOS 13.2 build is still in the testing phase, which means that it can only be accessed by signing up for the beta. At present, this is only limited to developers, but the public beta test will most likely start in the next few weeks. If you want to avail of the latest feature, you can sign up on the Apple Beta page and register using your Apple ID.

The beta version of iOS 13.2 can be found in your iPhone’s Settings under General and Software Update. Since the update is in the beta phase, do not expect that it will perfectly work in your device, considering that there will be many glitches that need fixing in that particular stage. However, if you do not like to try the beta of iOS 13.2, you can just wait a little longer until Apple makes it available to all Apple devices running on iOS.
