Ivanka Trump was recently mocked by some social media users for one of her upcoming events.
Alfred Ng of CNET announced that the first daughter is set to appear at the CES 2020 in January. Ivanka will be there as a headline speaker in a panel with Consumer Technology Association President Gary Shapiro. Ng noted that the CTA has not publicly announced this talk with President Donald Trump’s daughter and senior adviser.
It remains unclear what Ivanka will discuss with Shapiro at the event. Their talk is scheduled for Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. EST.
CES uploaded a placeholder URL for its keynote speeches on Thursday night and it included “Ivanka Trump” as a livestream. However, the page was taken down after Ng published his report.
Several Twitter users reacted to Ng’s tweet about the report and questioned Ivanka’s participation in one of the most influential tech trade shows in the world. One even questioned her knowledge about technology.
“What in the hell does she know about technology and what else is at the show. She is sharp like her father,” Lawrence Ennis commented.
Meanwhile, another Twitter user wished that things would not go well for the first daughter.
“I hope hope hope she gets booed off the stage, with tomatoes thrown at her,” Lisa Hamilton wrote.
Another netizen also disapproved of Ivanka’s attendance at the big event. According to her, they want more women on stage, but it does not include Ivanka’s participation at CES 2020.
The netizens have different opinions about Ivanka when it comes to her role as a first daughter. Some questioned her qualifications with some saying she is not qualified to represent the Americans. Meanwhile, many also praised her for her efforts for the Paid Family Leave and Child Care Reform.
As for Donald, he is very proud of his daughter. In fact, for him, Ivanka is his heir apparent. The POTUS believes that if Ivanka would run for president, she will likely win because she is someone who is “very, very hard to beat.”
