Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne Foxx, got candid about their relationship, sharing what it was like growing up with the Oscar winner.

The 26-year-old actress, who is starring in the new Disney+ movie "Safety," said she and her father have a close relationship. But while she is proud to be Foxx's daughter, she revealed that just like any other teenager, there were times when she would be embarrassed by her father.

"My dad is one of the funniest people alive. But growing up as his daughter, it can sometimes be embarrassing," Corrine told New York Post via Page Six.

Corinne said her father would knock on their doors when she was with a boyfriend. Foxx's fashion didn't impress her as well.

"He wears clothing that is too young for him. As a teenager, I was rolling my eyes like, ‘Dad, do you have to wear such tight pants?’" she continued.

Foxx introduced Corinne to showbiz at an early age, taking her along to premieres as his adorable plus-one. She was also the DJ on her dad's music game show, "Beat Shazam." Currently, the father and daughter are working together in the Netflix comedy series, "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me," which also stars David Alan Grier, Foxx's co-star in "In Living Color."

"During ‘In Living Color,’ I was not born yet, so for me to see their magic in real life, it’s something special," she shared.

Corrine also serves as an executive producer on the show.

After working on several projects together over the years, she said that her father, who is also a Grammy winner, has always been supportive of her.

"In a way, I am my dad’s boss and his equal, and he really encourages me to use my voice. He called me the other day and said, ‘Oh Corinne, we are going to be the next power producers. I was like, ‘OK, Dad.’ But he’s a pleasure to work with," the actress said.

Corinne also revealed that her dad once asked his pal, Channing Tatum, to call her and give her a pep talk. She started modeling at the age of 19, and her conversation with Tatum and Foxx helped her build her confidence.

"My dad had Channing Tatum call me," she recalled. "[Tatum] said, ‘Do not let them take your worth away from you. I want you to be careful because they can really tear you down in that industry.’"

At present, Corinne describes herself as very goal-oriented. Foxx's daughter feels that she "really need to keep grinding right now.”

Corinne is very private about her mom, Connie. Meanwhile, Foxx dated Katie Holmes for six years, but they split in 2019.
