KEY POINTS

  • Janelle Brown claimed Kody Brown "acts like he's the only person who's been rejected" since Christine left
  • The "Sister Wives" star said Christine breaking up with Kody had been "coming for a long time"
  • Janelle said Robyn trying to play peacemaker was part of the problem as she takes Kody's side

Janelle Brown is getting candid on how she feels toward fellow sister wife Robyn Brown and her attempt to play peacemaker in their family.

In an exclusive teaser for part 3 of the "Sister Wives: One-on-One" special obtained by Us Weekly, Janelle admitted that she was over Robyn's meddling in her drama with her now-estranged husband Kody Brown.

"I get so tired of 'counselor Robyn,'" Janelle told host Sukanya Krishnan in the sneak peek. "[She says] like, 'Oh yeah, your pain. Your pain.'"

Janelle added that the Brown patriarch "acts like he's the only person who's been rejected" since another fellow sister wife, Christine Brown, left him in 2021.

"This whole thing with Christine has been coming for a long time and he acts so surprised by it," she told the host. "So, I'm just a little bit like, 'OK. Alright."

Janelle said in the teaser that Robyn, Kody's remaining wife, playing peacemaker didn't help because she usually takes his side.

"It just feels like she's placating him," she explained.

Kody previously had four wives before Christine separated from him in November 2021. They share daughters Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 19 and Truely, 12, and son Paedon, 24.

Janelle had been married to Kody for 28 years before she announced their split last month. She and Kody also share six children — Logan, 28, Maddie, 27, Hunter, 25, Garrison, 24, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18.

Meri Brown also revealed during a Dec. 15 "Sister Wives: One-on-One" special that Kody had chosen to end their 32-year marriage. Their only child is Leon Brown, whom they welcomed in 1995.

Janelle admitted that "there was rejection" on all sides ahead of her separation from Kody. She recounted the fallout between her sons Garrison and Gabriel with their father, which began after Kody implemented his COVID-19 rules on the family.

According to the reality star, their sons felt rejected, especially after Kody insisted that it was the boys' responsibility to mend fences even if he and Robyn played a role in their feud.

"The first ultimatum was that they would apologize to him and they would apologize to Robyn," Janelle claimed of her estranged husband. "He's not [really] made any effort. He's still acting like they need to come to him."

Janelle also confessed that she "felt like I was being called to repentance" when Kody yelled at her during the "Sister Wives" Season 17 finale, which aired last month. The Brown patriarch was frustrated at the time that their kids were in town but had no plans to see their family amid the tension between them.

"[Kody was saying,] 'You're the wayward wife who disrespects me and it's all your fault so it's time to come to repentance and see the light,'" she claimed.

Meanwhile, Kody called the confrontation with Janelle his "breaking point" after a hard year. He admitted that he was "so mad" at Janelle when she walked away.

Another stressor in their relationship was Janelle choosing to vacation with Christine while he was battling COVID-19 in late 2021, he claimed.

"That kind of s—t is petty, but it made me bitter. What I really felt like was, 'Janelle, you're not leaving. You're not supposed to be leaving. You're friends with Christine, you're betraying me,'" Kody admitted. "It was all an emotion of betrayal and rejection."

"Sister Wives: One-on-One" part 3 airs on TLC Sunday at 10 p.m. EST.
