Jennifer Garner is allegedly concerned about her estranged husband, Ben Affleck.

Despite numerous rumors plaguing them since announcing their split in 2015, Affleck and Garner have had an amicable breakup. The pair agreed to co-parent their three children: Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5. However, this is reportedly why though they are no longer together. The “Alias” star is allagedly still concerned about her former husband, especially with regards to Affleck’s drinking.

“Jen thinks it’s an absolute disaster,” one source claimed to Life & Style of Garner’s opinion about his drinking habit. “She knows Ben is his own worst enemy. He can’t thrive without drama and angst.”

According to the publication, Affleck, and his new girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, were recently spotted at a grocery in Naples, where an employee of the store claimed they bought two bottles of Rosé and a bottle of Skinnygirl Margarita. “They were hugging and stopped for a quick kiss,” added the eyewitness of the couple.

In addition, Affleck and Shookus shared a bottle of red wine over dinner at Los Angeles restaurant Giorgio Baldi just four months after the “Justice League” star completed his rehab for alcohol addiction. This reportedly made Garner a bit worried about her ex.

“She has done everything she possibly can over the years to help him get sober and battle his demons,” the insider added. “Things are much calmer, and Jen is finally feeling peace in her life for the first time in years. Of course, she cares about Ben, but Jen’s feeling is that he is no longer her problem. Jen is concerned about Ben because he is the father of their three children but she truly does feel that he’s Lindsay’s problem now.”

The report should be taken with a grain of salt as Garner has not openly talked about Affleck’s recovery from alcohol addiction. However, previous reports claimed Garner has been fully supportive of her estranged husband. “[Affleck] has been struggling and he decided that he needed to get back to being healthy again. It was Ben’s choice to receive treatment,” a source told People back in March, shortly after Affleck completed his stint in rehab. “[Garner] is happy that he is working on himself.”

Affleck has a long history with alcohol addiction, Entertainment Tonight reports. The “Argo” star admitted that his father used to be an alcoholic, though he eventually became sober. Before his father recovered, however, his dad’s addiction made his childhood difficult. In fact, Affleck thanked good friend Matt Damon and brother Casey Affleck for helping him deal with his father’s alcohol addiction and parents’ divorce. Affleck got sober when he married Garner, but the problem later came back again after they split.

In March, Affleck announced on Facebook that he went through rehab for alcohol addiction and thanked Garner for her support and for looking after their kids.
