The studio unveiled the first trailer for the Jennifer Lawrence movie during CinemaCon on Thursday and it proved to be an intense ride.

In the preview Lawrence, playing prima ballerina Dominika Egorova, is told she has a gift and is special. After hurting her leg and walking up in hospital, she is presented with another job offer: to become an assassin for Mother Russia.

“I can make you special again,” a intent office tells her, calling her an “ideal candidate” for her discipline in the art of ballet.

From there, Lawrence’s character is trained in physiological warfare. She’s told she must learn how to determine a target’s weakness and then exploit that weakness through the art of seduction. In the end, Dominika is told she could have a bullet put her though her if she doesn’t comply.

“Red Sparrow” is currently still in production. The film is directed by Francis Lawrence who last work with Lawrence in 2015’s “The Hunger Games: Mockingly - Part 2.”
