Jennifer Lawrence is experiencing motherhood for the first time ever!

The actor reportedly welcomed her first child with her art dealer husband Cooke Maroney. Public records show the 31-year-old gave birth to her baby in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

The child's name, gender, and date of birth are still under wraps, as Lawrence hasn't released any information about her baby yet. In fact, the couple has been extremely private about the pregnancy and Lawrence had earlier revealed that she is setting stronger boundaries as she enters motherhood.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor said, "If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, 'Oh, my God, you're expecting a baby,' I wouldn't be like, 'God, I can't talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!' But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can."

"I don't want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work," Lawrence added.

The "Hunger Games" star went on to say that she was nervous to talk about her life since she hadn't "spoken to the world in forever," after taking a break from public appearances before and during the initial stages of her pregnancy. "And to come back now when I have all of these new accessories added to my life that I obviously want to protect... I'm nervous for you. I'm nervous for me. I'm nervous for the readers!"

Generally, too, Lawrence likes to keep her life with Maroney out of the public eye.

The only bit of information she shared about falling for him was in 2019 when Lawrence told Catt Sadler on her "NAKED With Catt Sandler" podcast that she met her husband while taking a break from acting and living in New York City.

“I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married,’” she said. “I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person in the planet and you’re like you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer,” she said with a laugh.
