Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have gotten their fairytale ending after two decades, but the “Jenny from the Block” singer’s first husband Ojani Noa doubts that their marriage will last.

“I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last,” the 48-year-old Cuban former model told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.

He continued, “Jen loves being in love, but she’s been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four. I was husband number one, and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”

Noa said that he was happy that Lopez has “gone back to Ben” but that he believes “she’s someone who will be married seven or eight times.”

“I can’t see her ever settling down with one person. She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she’s had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life,” Noa told the outlet.

The personal trainer, who stepped away from the limelight and remained low-key since his split from the 53-year-old actress, explained that he was speaking out now because he refused to be known as the “penniless waiter” who got “dumped” by Lopez after just one year of marriage.

“We fell in love when she was already famous. But during our marriage, she became a megastar. For years it was too painful to talk about. I wanted to lie low and live my life. But when I saw, she got married to Ben, who is a good guy, the feelings came flooding back,” he said. “There has been so much written about Jen and I, especially in the past couple of weeks, most of it wrong. I want people to know the real story.”

Noa and Lopez first met in 1996 in Lario’s On The Beach, a Cuban restaurant in Miami, Florida, owned by singer Gloria Estefan where he worked as a dishwasher. Seven years earlier, he had fled Cuba and arrived illegally after making a dangerous journey to Florida with six friends.

Amid the “Marry Me” star’s rise to fame, Noa and Lopez tied the knot in 1997 in an intimate ceremony in the back garden of their friend’s home. However, their marriage started to crumble from there, and they divorced a year.

Noa claimed that during their marriage, Lopez became a megastar who had new people around her who wanted to “make money off her.” He also became jealous when his then-wife was linked with P. Diddy and went out on dates with the rapper even though she was married.

Noa also claimed that their plans to have children were halted after Lopez told him that “she couldn’t have a baby because it would interfere with her career.”

After the divorce, the two remained friends, and Lopez offered Noa the job of managing her Los Angeles restaurant, Madres. But in 2005, they finally fell out when the “Selena” star abruptly fired Noa as the manager. After this, Noa moved back to Miami.

“For many years I felt burned, bruised. I think if she hadn’t had all those people around her then we might still be together,” Noa said, “But I have my life and I am happy. I still believe in love, and I hope Jen has finally found the love she has been looking for.”

Lopez and Affleck wed in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16. Prior to that, the pop singer was married to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003 and Marc Anthony — with whom she shares 14-year-old twins Max and Emme — from 2004 to 2014.

Lopez was also engaged to Affleck from 2002 to 2004 and Alex Rodriguez from 2019 to 2021.
