The players offered by some teams for wantaway star Jimmy Butler have been revealed, but there is yet to be an offer the Minnesota Timberwolves deems worthy to accept.

It was reported late last month that Butler wanted a trade away from Minnesota with the Miami Heat said to be his top preference. While Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau would prefer to keep him, even if that means losing him in free agency next year, he mentioned he would be open to a trade if a good offer came along.

A number of offers have since been made, but with Minnesota wanting quality veterans, top prospects, future assets and salary-cap relief in a potential trade, it is putting off certain teams. In one case, they were reportedly asking the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons in a trade.

Meanwhile, Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reported what players were being offered to Minnesota in a potential trade (via Yahoo): "Now, do they [Minnesota] wait a little bit longer just to see if some team adds a player in – like Miami? Miami is not willing to move Josh Richardson, but in the end, do they offer Josh Richardson? But, so far, as of October 2nd, no sense whatsoever that Miami is making Josh Richardson available. Same goes for Bam Adebayo. Is Goran Dragic available? Yeah. The Wolves could acquire Goran Dragic. Is Hassan Whiteside available? Yeah, the Wolves could acquire Hassan Whiteside."

"From Houston, you can get Eric Gordon. You can get P.J. Tucker. The Rockets want Jimmy Butler. The Bucks are willing to move Brogdon, Bledsoe. The Bucks still have interest in Jimmy Butler. They’re not willing to move Middleton," he added.

It is not clear if Wolfson is specifying whether the three teams are offering two players for Butler or just one of their players. Regardless, the Rockets offering Gordon and Tucker as well as the Bucks offering Brogdon and Bledsoe would work salary-cap wise for Minnesota.

A Miami offer of Dragic and Whiteside, on the other hand, would not work and neither player is as valuable as Butler to be traded in a player-for-player swap.

The latest from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, meanwhile, is that the Heat are pushing Minnesota to accept a revised trade offer, with discussions going on for two weeks now. Minnesota's current demands don't seem likely to be accepted.

"Minnesota's preferences in a Miami deal have included center Bam Adebayo, guard Josh Richardson and a protected 2019 first-round pick, league sources said," Wojnarowski wrote. "A trade could take on a larger construction to include more players, league sources said. In any Butler deal, Minnesota has wanted to unload center Gorgui Dieng and the $48 million left on his contract."

Butler is currently recovering from a surgically repaired right wrist and has been given permission to miss the preseason. However, Wojnarowski adds the 29-year-old has expressed no intentions of missing regular season games should he be healthy and a trade is not accepted by then.
