John Mayer opened up about his late pal Bob Saget in a new Netflix special.

The 44-year-old Grammy winner joined some of Saget's closest friends in celebrating the life and legacy of the comedian, who died at age 65 in January, on Netflix's recently released "Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute."

Recalling a dream he recently had of Saget, Mayer shared, "The other night, I had a dream and I woke up crying because I saw Bob. It was young Bob, and we were about to go into a restaurant. And I knew and he didn't know. I looked right at him and said, 'You gotta know how much I love you.' He went, 'Yeah, I know. Fine,'" according to People.

The "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer said he "woke up, of course, crying like a baby." But he found himself talking to Saget before going back to sleep.

"I said out loud, 'I love you, Bob, but I gotta go back to sleep.' And I heard him say, 'Go back to sleep, go back to sleep. You have to go back to sleep. You have to. You've got stuff tomorrow. You've gotta go back to sleep,'" Mayer said.

"And that's no different than the magic of when he was around," he added. "And I learned that. It is not a jump to go from here to there. Because there's nothing different about the way we access the people we love when they're there than when they're here. And that is the magic of Bob Saget that keeps carrying on for me."

Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 9, a day after performing a comedy show outside of Jacksonville.

Following the "Full House" star's sudden death, Jeff Ross and Mayer decided to pick up his car from the Los Angeles International Airport. While driving down California's Interstate 405, they talked about Saget and remembered him as a "big brother" and the "king of the comedy world."

"You know how effusive you have to be in your love for everyone in your life, for each and every person he loved to be told by another, 'He loved you so much'? Everyone is held into place by Bob's insistence on telling everyone how much he loved everyone," Mayer said in a video he shared on Instagram in January.

"I've never known a human being on this Earth who could give that much love, individually and completely, to that many people in a way that made each person feel like he was a main character in their life and they were a main character in his life," he added.

Since Saget's death, Mayer has revealed he's working on a song for his late friend. He also paid to have a private plane transport Saget's body to California following his death.

In addition to Mayer and Ross, other stars and pals who shared stories about Saget in the Netflix special include Chris Rock, Jim Carrey, Michael Keaton, Dave Chappelle, Tim Allen, Jon Lovitz, Seth Green, and the late actor's "Full House" co-stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Candace Cameron Bure.

"Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute" is now available to stream on Netflix.
