Justin Timberlake, who tried to show off his dance moves at Something in the Water Festival last week, ended up getting roasted online. He was heavily criticized by fans after a video of the performance went viral on the internet.

The 41-year-old singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to address the criticisms.

"I wanna apologize to you for two reasons," he said in a video shared on his Instagram Story and then panned the camera toward his feet and added, "Here and here."

"I had a long talk with both of them, individually. 'Don't you ever do that to me again,'" he added. The singer jokingly blamed his outfit for his poor dance moves. "Maybe it was the khakis. It was a real khaki vibe."

Timberlake went on to promise his fans that he will be better at dancing by focusing on his legs. "I'm gonna focus on these two guys right here and get them right. Love you all," he concluded.

The video was later shared on Twitter by a fan.

"The comments really got to him!" one person commented, while another one added, "Low key shoe ad."

The apology came after a video surfaced online, which showed Timberlake attempting to do the popular "Beat Ya Feet" dance routine. He, however, failed to get his moves right.

"America tried to ruin Janet Jackson for this man," the Twitter user who shared the video wrote.

On the work front, Timberlake lent his voice to the upcoming animation movie "Life with Quincy 3." The singer has voiced the title character, Quincy Bunch, in the film.

He will also feature in a crime thriller, "Reptile," which is under post-production. The flick is helmed by director Grant Singer and it will also star Alicia Silverstone, Frances Fisher, Benicio Del Toro and Michael Pitt.

Apart from movies, he will also appear in an untitled series based on the 1984 memoir "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."
