Kate Middleton was transformed when she stepped out with Prince William for the first time after their royal engagement interview.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were loved up during their engagement interview in November 2010. However, many noticed that Middleton was visibly nervous since the couple had never been officially photographed side-by-side before. But it didn’t take long for Middleton to adjust in the royal spotlight because when she stepped out with Prince William again after that interview, she was more poised and confident.

In Marcia Moody’s 2013 book “ Kate: A Biography,” she recalled Middleton’s transformation. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were launching a lifeboat in their home-place Anglesey and Middleton showed signs of diplomatic gestures by wearing a fascinator that bore the insignia of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.

Veteran royal photographer Chris Jackson also noticed Middleton’s massive transformation in just a short span of time. According to him, he remembered vividly when Middleton stepped from the car on to the tarmac of Anglesey.

“Her poise and confidence were evident,” Jackson said. “Gone was the slight nervousness we saw on the announcement of the engagement.”

“She had obviously spent the previous week receiving advice and training on who best to handle these occasions.”

Prince William and Middleton dated for almost a decade before he popped the big question. Due to the long wait, Middleton was dubbed “Waity Katie.” Middleton hated and “absolutely despised” the moniker but had the last laugh because she got her prince.

It was learned that Prince William made a pact with Middleton after their second major breakup. The second-in-line to the throne promised Middleton that he would marry her, but he would just take his time because he didn’t want to be pressured to the altar. Middleton knew all along that she would be marrying a prince and she would be the future queen.

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II made a shocking reaction to Middleton’s wedding dress when she saw a preview of it in an exhibition. The Queen said it was “horrible, dreadful.”

According to Tim Ewart, the Queen’s reaction had nothing to do with the bridal gown’s design but on how it was presented because it was put on a headless mannequin and had a “ghost like appearance.”
