Kate Middleton displayed her dreamy side in a white lace Dolce and Gabbana dress during her first appearance at the Royal Ascot with Prince William on Wednesday.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant in a frilly 3,450 pounds ($4,897) lace dress from Dolce and Gabbana, Vanity Fair reported. The white dress featured long sleeves with intricate lace designs, as well as a scalloped edged hem. To accessorize, she wore a pair of pearl drop earrings and a small beige colored clutch bag. To complete the look, Kate also donned nude colored heels and a unique headpiece.

Prince William’s wife wore a woven gold headpiece by Jane Taylor that featured a cream colored rose design with feathers, according to E!News. The annual Royal Meeting at the Ascot has also been known as a fashion event given the strict formal daywear attire that the organizers have required from attendees. Many of the ladies attending the event typically wear extravagant looking and unique headpieces to the racehorse meeting.

Some of the bookkeepers at William Hill have also made a bet over the color of the headpieces that both the Duchess and Queen Elizabeth II will wear to the Royal Ascot, as stated in the same report. The betting odds were at 2/1 that Kate will opt to wear a beige or cream colored headpiece. This was proven true given the royal mother of two's Jane Taylor headpiece. William Hill bookkeepers also indicated that the Queen’s headpiece will be blue. However, the royal monarch opted to wear a pink colored headpiece during Wednesday’s Royal Ascot.

Meanwhile, Kate’s headpiece worn during her Royal Ascot may be new, however, her white lace dress is another one of her recycled fashion pieces. The Duchess also wore the same dress during the Royal Windsor Horse Race held in May 2016. Although, she partnered the said designer dress with a red coat.
