Kate Middleton and Prince William are criticized for skipping a city for their upcoming tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to visit Pakistan for an official tour next week. Omar R Quraishi shared his thoughts about the trip and said that it was “a shame“ that the royal couple is skipping Karachi.

“It's a shame that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will not be coming to Pakistan's largest and most cosmopolitan city Karachi as part of their Pakistan visit - they will be visiting Lahore, Islamabad and the Northern Areas,” he wrote on Twitter.

One netizen said that it was sad because the hosts only wanted to present a decent and beautiful picture of Pakistan.

Faisal Kapadia, a writer, blogger and cofounder of Mindmap Communications, stressed that Prince William and Middleton are not coming for a particular city, they are visiting charities and environmentally conscious activists. However, he agreed that it’s a shame that the couple won’t be visiting the largest city in the country.

“Even if they came to Karachi, they’ll be limited to the rather small posh side of the city only. So what even is the point?” one netizen commented.

“There is no point visiting a dessert or deserted place like Karachi. It would be embarassing if someone would stole princess purse and prince's cell phone on gun point, or satisfying fragrance of gutter burst in the streets oh sorry there no streets now in karachi only puddles,” another user added.

Prince William and Middleton’s Pakistan tour is deemed to be more challenging than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s South Africa tour. Royal editor Russell Myers aid that the upcoming trip is hugely important and hugely historic due to the terms of the pressure and security concerns that come with it.

Meanwhile, Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that Prince William and Middleton’s Pakistan tour could be canceled if the officials are not satisfied with the security arrangement. Everything will be monitored closely by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the evaluation will determine if the visit will go ahead.
