  • Prince William and Kate Middleton continue to bring honor to the royal family.
  • Prince William and Kate Middleton could buck perilous trend of recent television appearances.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have been an asset to the royal family.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that unlike the other royals, the Cambridges have yet to put a foot wrong.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will soon be making an appearance on "Mary Berry’s Show" for a Christmas TV special, and their supporters couldn’t be more excited to watch them.

“William and Kate have, thankfully, yet to put a foot wrong and this is likely to be a delightful and widely watched Yuletide experience from which others might learn,” Fitzwilliams said.

The royal expert also said that Prince William and Middleton’s TV appearance could buck the perilous trend of the recent royal TV appearances. For instance, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced backlash following the release of “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” where they admitted that they are struggling with their lives as royals.

Prince Andrew’s interview with Emily Maitlis on BBC also aired days later, and it was dubbed as a “car crash” interview. Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William were reportedly not pleased with how he handled his sexual abuse scandal. Days later, the Duke of York announced his resignation from his royal duties.

Meanwhile, since Prince William and Middleton are gaining more and more support from the public, there are speculations that they will soon be crowned as King and Queen of England.

According to InTouch Weekly, Her Majesty is thinking about giving the throne straight to her grandson and not Prince Charles. An unnamed insider told the tabloid the monarch doesn’t think that her eldest son possessed the right personality traits to become King.

The insider also claimed that Her Majesty will abdicate from her throne, and she will make Prince William and Middleton King and Queen next year.

However, this claim should be taken with a grain of salt. A statement from Clarence House also stated that the Queen has no plans to retire at the age of 95 or any other age. This proves that Her Majesty also has no plans to make Prince William and Middleton King and Queen next year.
