Kate Middleton was rumored to be have been targeted by ISIS extremists that claimed they will poison the food that she will buy from the supermarket.

The shocking threats directed at the Duchess of Cambridge were reportedly made on the messaging service Telegram. One photo showed Prince William’s wife shopping with a red X on her trolley with the caption, “We know what she eats – poison!”

A threat was also made to Prince George, who was photographed holding the hands of Prince William while standing beside a masked knife-wielding ISIS nut, with the words “Rise of the kuffar” – which translates to an unbeliever.

The photos prompted a heated exchange on the messaging platform. Some people also went on to discuss how poison may be interested in the food found in the same place where Middleton went shopping. Information on the stores that the Duchess of Cambridge frequently visits was also shared.

A source told Daily Star that the threats are being taken various seriously. The hate messages were also posted the same site used by Islamic State supporter Husnain Rashid to call on his followers to kill Middleton and Prince George. The 32-year-old Rashid is now serving his time behind bars over the plot.

“Intelligence agents believe that threats made against Kate are not idle and are linked to messages sent by Husnain Rashid. It’s a distinguished plot as it involves Kate’s young children, and hits out at her attempt to live a normal life like any mother wants to,” the source said.

The story was also picked up by the New York Post and several other publications. However, the source has not been named, and Kensington Palace has not confirmed that Middleton and Prince George's lives are at risk.

In related news, Middleton also made headlines recently after it was revealed that she celebrated her 37th birthday with Prince William and their closest friends. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle snubbed the gathering because they weren’t invited.

According to E! News, there are also some rumors suggesting that Prince Harry and Markle were on a holiday vacation on the day of Middleton’s party that’s why they were unable to make it. However, they were invited by the parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
