Kate Middleton might be a royal, but she’s also just like us! Well, those of us who fly first class, that is.

On Tuesday, Oct. 11, the Duchess of Cambridge, 34, went on her first solo trip abroad without husband Prince William, also 34. Middleton visited Netherlands for a few official engagements, including a meeting with King Willem-Alexander and a roundtable discussion with several of the charities she supports. The mother-of-two also visited the Mauritshuis Gallery, where she viewed Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl With a Pearl Earring,” while wearing pretty pearl earrings she borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II.

After her busy day, Middleton then jetted home, but she didn’t take a private jet or a helicopter. Instead, the Duchess was spotted boarding a commercial British Airways flight, giving the passengers on a 7:15 p.m. flight from Netherlands to London the surprise of a lifetime, Yahoo News reported.

During the flight, Middleton, who was accompanied by bodyguards and staff, was still wearing her periwinkle blue Catherine Walker suit. She completed the look with an L.K. Bennett Nina clutch and suede Gianvito Rossi pumps in Praline.

According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge sat in first class, on the seat closest to the front of the plane, and mostly kept a low profile during the flight. The New Zealand Herald reported that a source said he had “never seen so many iPhones pop up at once, as passengers scrambled to get a photograph of the Duchess.” When the plane touched down in London, passengers were told to wait in their seats until Middleton disembarked, and a car was waiting on the tarmac to take the Duchess back to Kensington Palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to this particular airline company. Middleton’s father, Michael, and mother, Carole, both worked as flight attendants for the British Airways.

Back in 2014, Middleton’s husband Prince William also surprised passengers when he took an American Airlines commercial flight from Memphis to Dallas. One passenger shared a photo of the Duke of Cambridge at the time, along with the caption: “I am still amazed #Prince William flies COACH. That’s pretty humble/awesome. Who Knew?”

In 2011, the royal couple also flew commercial on a British Airways flight when they traveled from Los Angeles to London.
