Kate Middleton sympathizes with Meghan Markle, but the duchess is keeping herself out of the situation.

A source told Phil Dampier that Middleton is doing her best to unite the members of the royal family including Prince Harry and Markle. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly doesn’t want to let the Queen down with their split and is trying to patch things up in private.

However, a different report claimed otherwise. On Monday, a royal insider told InTouch that Middleton sympathizes with Markle’s plight but contrary to reports that she is getting herself involved by reaching out to Markle, Middleton is “keeping herself out of the situation.”

“Kate has enough on her plate looking after three kids and fulfilling royal duties. She barely has a moment to herself and tries to avoid drama and conflict at all costs,” the source said.

In related news, Markle was slammed by netizens when she was still expecting Archie. Some even accused her of faking her pregnancy because she was often seen touching her belly. Some of Markle’s critics found her gesture strange and claimed that she was doing it because she was anxious that her fake baby bump would slip.

However, according to David Byrne, Middleton was just like Markle when she was also pregnant. The Duchess of Cambridge was also photographed touching her baby bump during her three pregnancies. In fact, the future queen consort’s “go to” position was holding her hands under her belly to stay in contact with it.

Meanwhile, some netizens wondered if Middleton would allow Markle to do what she does when the former becomes the new queen consort. According to some netizens, Markle doesn’t have any power over Markle when that time comes.

Middleton will only become queen consort and not queen regent like Queen Elizabeth II. The title doesn’t give her any power. It just basically means that she is the “wife of the king” and nothing else. Thus, she would have “zero power” over Markle.
