Kate Middleton uses a shocking fashion trick to convert sexy outfits into suitable royal wardrobe.

The Duchess of Cambridge is very good in tweaking her outfits to make them appropriate for a queen. According to The Sun, Middleton redesigned several items including the red Alessandra Rich dress she wore when she appeared on BBC’s “A Berry Royal Christmas” with Mary Berry in December.

The dress originally featured a revealing keyhole neckline opening. Middleton opted for a large bow at the neck to make it more elegant. She also removed the waist-high slit in the dress.

The publication noted that she also altered the Chocolate Utility Shirtdress from Mint Velvet. The duchess was spotted wearing it when she and Prince William visited Pakistan in October but altered it to be a top.

Prince William’s wife also tweaked the Elie Saab short-sleeved top when she wore the design for Royal Ascot in July. Middleton was photographed smiling while wearing it but in her photo, the dress had full-length sleeves.

Last year, Middleton was stunning in her Beulah dress when she visited the Family Action charity. However, she made a small change in her frock by removing its original fluted sleeves.

Middleton also made a slight change in the green Dolce and Gabbana dress she wore when she accompanied her sister-in-law Meghan Markle at the Wimbledon tournament. The duchess altered the fullness of the skirt to flatter her figure. She also removed the embroidered clock that was featured in the original design.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s fashion has changed since she dated Prince William. Before she married the royal family, Middleton was photographed wearing shorts, sleeveless and skinny jeans.

One netizen said that after she started dating Prince William, her “hemlines got longer and her necklines got higher.” Royal etiquette expert William Hanson also recognized how Middleton’s taste in fashion has improved. For him, Middleton has become “more regal over the years.”

Richard Eden of Daily Mail credited Middleton and Prince Willam’s old friend Virginia Chadwyck-Healey or Ginnie for the duchess’ impressive wardrobe. The journalist said that Ginnie made a big difference in the royal mom of three’s wardrobe for public engagement and she gave Middleton a whole new sense of confidence.
