After making his business with Bella Thorne public, Keke Palmer has come to Thorne’s defense and called out singer Charlie Puth on Twitter.

On Thursday, Puth took to Twitter to tell his millions of followers that he was no longer interested in Thorne after seeing photos Thorne posted of her with her ex-boyfriend Tyler Posey. “I can’t believe what I’m reading,” tweeted Puth. “No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I’m not going to be in the middle of it.”

While Puth may have thought he was helping out Posey, tweeting, “I don’t know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn’t be treated this way,” Palmer didn’t see it that way. The “Scream Queens” actress slammed Puth for not talking to Thorne in private.

“Why couldn’t you have just texted @bellathorne in private if you were confused? The interview is dated. So sorry Bella, ignore,” tweeted Palmer. The interview in reference is a Paper magazine piece that featured Thorne talking about Posey.

“When [Posey and I] first started dating, paparazzi got a photo of us kissing outside and it sucked that people got that photo because we really didn’t want it out at that time," said Thorne. “We were obviously dating and hanging out, but it just wasn’t necessary to put that in front of everyone’s face, you know? That one sucked.”

Thorne quickly took to Twitter to clear the air, saying the interview was old and that she had broken up with Posey more than two weeks ago. “Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends. That article was written forever ago.”

Following the back-and-forth tweets, Puth ended his day by tweeting, “I want nothing but peace for all, I’m just removing myself from this.”
