Kelly Ripa Fires Back At Claims About Using Filter In 'Youthful' Beach Pic

Kelly Ripa clapped back at a follower who claimed she used a filter to look young in her recent beach photo. The unsolicited comment came after fans flocked into her post to praise her for her youthfulness.

On Tuesday, the 50-year-old “Live with Kelly and Ryan” co-host shared a snap of herself and husband Mark Consuelos relaxing by the beach. “Cheese and baguette,” she captioned her post, before inserting a series of emojis.

Fans of the host were quick to comment on the post, expressing their amazement over how young she looked in the snap. “Babies!! So young and fresh-faced,” one fan wrote. “Ageless babies!” another wrote.

The post also drew comments from celebrities, including Carson Kressley, who commented, “Teenagers!!!” “Riverdale” star Marison Nichols also remarked, “You look 15.”

However, things took a turn for the worse when one follower accused Ripa of using a filter to make herself appear youthful in the photo. After one fan noted that she looked 10 years younger, one follower claimed it was thanks to the filter.

“How is it you look 10 years younger Kelly? Must be a relaxing holiday!” said one fan. “As beautiful as she is it’s def a filter!” another follower commented, before adding a double-hearted emoji.

The comment apparently did not sit well with Ripa, who immediately fired back and responded, “If it was a filter I would look amazing. It’s just the angle and sunset light.”

Her response earned positive reactions from more followers. “Perfect response, Kelly! Haha and by the way, you do look amazing!” said one fan. “You do look amazing! I know it isn’t a filter, you are just blessed and take great care of yourself, and it shows!” said another comment.

Ripa and Consuelos have been living in an empty nest since their youngest son, Joaquin, left their home for college. On Aug. 29, she shared a photo of her and her husband looking a bit lonesome. “So far we are crushing this empty nest thing,” she wrote in the caption.
