Kelly Rowland has learned firsthand that motherhood is not easy. However, the singer said she gets a lot of support from her friends, who guide her through many of the challenges she encounters.

Rowland recently told Entertainment Tonight that she received parenting advice from her celebrity friends, including Beyoncé and her sister, Solange Knowles. Her mother, who passed away a month before Rowland delivered her son, also gave her a lot of tips to help her become a good mom.

“I remember feeling a little bit overwhelmed at one time and they were just like, ‘You’re gonna love as you go,’” Rowland said of the parenting advice she received. “[What] I love the most is that they didn’t just say, ‘Oh, well just do this.’ They weren’t telling me to do... They were allowing me to figure it out on my own and I’m so appreciative to them for that.”

For Rowland, it doesn’t matter if a woman is a celebrity or not and whether she is a stay-at-home or working mom because at the end of the day, every mother goes through the same experience when raising a child. “We are all in this together,” she said, adding that she appreciates the mothers whom she can turn to whenever she needs help. The “Motivation” singer apparently has them on speed dial and would contact them if she has any questions as she is not too proud to seek guidance from more experienced parents.

Rowland also wanted to help other moms so she wrote her first book, titled “Whoa Baby!” She said she knows that motherhood brings overwhelming changes, so she wanted to touch on this subject and share her own experience.

“I just wanted to stay on the mom perspective, because there are so many things that happen to us -- mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally -- that we go through,” Rowland told ABC7 of her book on motherhood. “And I wanted to touch on all that.”

According to Us Weekly, Rowland gave birth to son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon on Nov. 4, 2014. However, prior to welcoming her child, the singer was already very excited to take on the challenge of parenthood with her husband, Tim Weatherspoon.
