Something smells a little fishy.

"Shark Tank" investor Kevin O'Leary gave his recollection of events surrounding a fatal incident in which his boat crashed into another, however, it doesn't match up with what police have.

In a statement sent to Global News from his publicist, O'Leary alleged that he "was a passenger in a boat that was involved in a tragic collision with another watercraft that had no navigation lights on and then fled the scene."

According to Joe Scali, the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police’s media officer, though, that's not quite what happened.

“Both vessels had left the scene and when they reached the location," he revealed. "Both vessels were in touch with ambulance for emergency services.”

The difference in accounts has only lead to more questions swirling around but sources shared with TMZ that O'Leary has video footage that proves the other boat's navigation lights were not on. The 65-year-old hopes this will exonerate his wife, Linda, who was driving the vessel at the time of the incident.

In the meantime, O'Leary, who also refers to himself as Mr. Wonderful, won't be commenting.

“Out of respect for the victims families and to fully support the ongoing investigation I feel it is inappropriate to make further comments at this time,” he said in the statement. “My heartfelt prayers and condolences to the victims, the families and those affected by this loss.”
