Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are likely to expand their family.

Kim and West have hired a surrogate for their third child. The unidentified woman is reportedly already three months pregnant and is due in January 2018. While Kim and West's third child may surprise some fans, the couple's family and friends already knew that they have been wanting another baby to add to their brood.

"Kim has always wanted a big family," Kim's BFF Simon Huck told E! News. "I'm not sure what her actual plan is but I know that having a big family and coming from a big family has been important to her. When you think of who has changed in the family, Kim as a mother, that I think has been the biggest transition. Her life has now become her kids. That is her No. 1 priority. So it makes sense that she would want to have a bigger family."

Kim loves the relationship she has with her siblings and she wants her children to experience the same. "I have so many siblings and I love it, they're my best friends and I would love that for my kids," Kim told Ellen DeGeneres (via Us Weekly) in July.

E! News added that back in April, Kim, 36, asked her doctor if it is safe to get pregnant considering the previous complications she encountered while giving birth to North West and Saint West. However, the medical professional advised against it. Kim has a condition called placenta accreta, which makes another pregnancy life threatening.

In one episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashian," the celebrity mom admitted that they still want more kids and are looking for alternatives, and surrogacy is one. "I'm definitely leaning more toward I want to try. After talking to Kanye, I think that I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn't think it was that realistic of an option. Now, I feel like that's my reality," Kim said (via E! News).

Kim and West found their surrogate through an agency agreed and to pay $45,000 for the service. They will pay it in 10 $4,500 monthly installments. If there are multiples, the surrogate will get $5,000 for each additional kid. If in case the surrogate loses reproductive organs, she gets $4,000, TMZ reported.

The stipulation also required the surrogate to refrain from smoking, drinking and taking drugs. Her sexual activities are also restricted in the weeks leading up to pregnancy and following the embryo implantation.
